A timeless kitchen designed for daily life: calm, functional and with adaptable styling that can change through the seasons.

The Emmaus kitchen was designed as a long-term investment in comfort and simplicity. Brighthouse Studio consulted on layout and materials, focusing on timeless choices that would never feel dated: classic shaker-style cabinetry, light countertops and warm wood accents. The result is a clean, balanced backdrop that evolves beautifully with the homeowner’s personal touches.

The goal was to create a kitchen that could quietly shift over time without ever losing its sense of order or warmth. The open shelving invites flexibility, a place to display changing artwork, found objects and seasonal décor that keep the space feeling alive and personal.

Every material was chosen for longevity and softness. The combination of off-white cabinetry, light stone surfaces and natural wood details gives the kitchen an easy, welcoming rhythm. It is designed to age gracefully, gaining character with time and use.

Organization and usability were at the heart of every decision. The space was planned to make cooking and gathering intuitive, with everything in its place and every inch serving a purpose. The final result is both generous and practical, a kitchen that feels effortless and welcoming.

We also helped with the decor of a ground floor powder room. Its size and location allowed some leeway with the design: we worked with the homeowner to find a fun wallpaper to combine with beadboard for a fun yet timeless look.
